EGGSPECTATION

Nathan Phillips Square in downtown Toronto is a tourist and local hub for picture taking and sightseeing. Just around the old town hall, Eggspectation serves up some creative breakfast. I ordered a Mexican inspired omelette with avocado, salsa and sour cream on top with a side of home fries, pineapple and grapefruit.

STRANGE LOVE COFFEE

Toronto has a unique tunnel system spanning miles underneath the city. The system is called the PATH and its full of restaurants and shops. Strange Love Coffee is famous for creating your image inside of your coffee cup to a tee. You sit in front of one of the employees while they make your latte into a work of art. I personally did not take part in it but I will next time for sure!

MOTHER'S DUMPLINGS

The Baldwin Village is considered the outskirts of the city of Toronto. Mother's Dumplings serves... you guessed it homemade dumplings! All joking aside this restaurant makes incredible Chinese food for people everyday. The space is quite large and fits a great amount of people so in my opinion you don't really need a reservation. I just recommend you bring your appetite.

CACAO 70 EATERY

I want all of my sweet tooth viewers to tune in Cacao 70 Eatery so a number of savory desserts which will make your mouth water. The dessert shop is located in the historic Distillery District. I ordered the matcha green tea fondue with an assortment of fruit, brownies and pieces of a powdered sugar waffle. Yes, it is just as good as it sounds, maybe even better!

SPIRIT OF YORK DISTILLERY CO.

The Distillery District still remains authentic from the 1800s with cobblestone streets and local bars. Spirit of York is an upscale bar with an ambient vibe. I sat at the main bar in the middle of the location which consists of calming, blue mood lights. I recommend getting flights of gin or whisky for the best experience as they make their own in house.

MILL ST. BREWERY

Sports and good food? Count me in! Mill St. Brewery is yet another Distillery District gem. They personify what it means to live in the Toronto area. What I mean by this is the city continues to be a melting pot of cultures from around the world. In fact, 50% of population in Toronto isn't even from Canada! Let that sink in! Mill St. has an array of options with my favorite being eastern European dumplings which are called perogies.

ST. LAWRENCE MARKET

Food/farmers markets are always a terrific way to get integrated into the city's culture. The St. Lawrence Market is one the largest in North America to this day as it was constructed in the 1800s as a warehouse. Now, it's a hub for great, diverse cuisines and a meeting place for locals and tourists alike. You won't know what to order as every option looks so delicious! Try the coffee shops in the basement as well!

BLU RISTORANTE

One of the best culinary influences in Toronto is Italian. There are a number of locations with tasty Italian food. Blu Ristorante is a classy and authentic neighborhood spot. Try the meat and cheese board with local honey or the gnocchi ragu. Impress your date and take them here for a real time to connect in a peaceful and quiet space.
