ROSA NEGRA

Rosa Negra is off of Via Laietana and a few blocks away from the Barcelona Cathedral. This place originated in Tulum, Mexico with a few locations. They make delicious Mexican food including fresh tacos and burritos. They serve creative drinks such as coconut and guava mojitos. Whether you're sitting at the bar listening to great music or in the dining room, you'll love every second of this gem. (I ate here twice during my stay).

TACO ALTO

One block away from Barcelona's Arc, is where one of the best taco places makes people come back for more each and everyday. Taco Alto serves up fish, chicken, pork, chorizo, fish and even cactus tacos. Yes, that's right, cactus tacos, (don't knock it til you try it). This small but welcoming restaurant makes some these from scratch everyday. This will definitely be one of your top moments in the city.

BRUNCH & CAKE BY THE SEA

Brunch & Cake by the Sea is right on the stunningly beautiful Barcelona waterfront. The chef is a student of Gordon Ramsey and she creates really tasty and creative meals for the public. I had the eggs and smoked salmon on a pretzel bun with a side of mixed berries and it truly made my day. You have to try the match latte and avocado toast as well to make for a perfect brunch.

PETRITXOL XOCOA

Churros make for a classic dessert treat usually coming out of a food vendor cart or food stand. What if I told you Barcelona has a family run cafe with homemade churros made fresh upon each order coupled with warm, melted chocolate and a plate of whipped cream? Petritxol is a must for churro fanatics!
